St. Andrews (formally X-IS)

Justin Andrew Semidey also known as St. Andrews (formally X-is) was born December 10th 1990 at Yale Hospital in New Haven,CT. Late 1993 the Semidey family moved down to Orlando,FL. As a child he was extremely quiet and to himself. Introduced to hip hop in the mid 90s he instantly fell in love. His uncle Alex who is an underground producer back in New Haven got him more and more into hip hop as he grew into his teens. At 16 he fell heavy into drugs, in and out of rehabs and mental hospitals but music was always his passion even in his deepest darkness.
After high school he went to Full Sail University close by and began studying Recording Arts. After a few months of not taking his education as serious as he should, he soon dropped out. Living on a couch in his best friends apartment, he began writing and taking music much more seriously. Recording almost everyday to perfect the craft, yet had yet to put the drugs down to pursue his dream.
At 20, after finding out his then girlfriend was pregnant with his daughter, he decided to drop his first mixtape titled Could This Be Rasputin?. Shorty after its release, he began working on a collaborative mixtape project with his high school friend, Hassan Porter, titled Andy & Charlies Cruel World. Not being very successful with his releases, he found himself back to square one. Focusing more on his writing and personal issues, he found himself away from the studio for over a year..
At 21, Justin was offered a job that would begin to change things for the better. Not only was he able to begin providing more for his daughter, but it also allowed him to make life changing connections that would make all those years of struggle all the more worthwhile. It all began with a cigarette and a simple conversation with co-worker Lesly Christopher Jean Jr. (biggLEZ), who invited him to the studio to vibe. Through countless hours of listening to music and shopping various beats, St. Andrews, biggLEZ and producer Khaleel Hassan finally came to an agreement and their track Ridin' was born. With months to come, and a growing relationship with biggLEZ, he began to watch himself grow as an artist and in time began to develop the alter ego we all came to know as St. Anderews.
St. Andrews Is currently working on his next project titled The February EP which is set for release by February 13th 2017.
